Standing about 5'2, Mori has pale skin and honey brown eyes that tinged gold in the right light. At first glance, he might seem like a girl but don't call him that.
Name: Formosa Mori (Taiwan)
Age: 18
Academic Goals: To become a respected computer programmer. And maybe an infamous hacker. Major in computer science, minor is music appreciation.
Year: Freshman.
Occupation: Student; works at a Starbucks off campus.
Likes:
Apples - He's always loved them for some reason, especially green apples.
Computers - Mori can be a bit of a computer nerd and not afraid to show it.
Music - He always, always has his headphones and iPod with him. Always.
Technology - Mori just loves technology in general, always having some piece of electronics with him.
Computer class - He is majoring in computer science, after all.
Dislikes:
Bullies - Who honestly doesn't unless you're a bully yourself? Mori just has a special dislike for them. Because of the way he dresses and acts, Mori gets bullied a lot.
The woods - If his electronics won't work, he doesn't want to be there. The only exception is his garden back home.
Computer viruses - They're such a menace to get rid of.
Hackers - Ain't no way in hell anyone is getting into Mori's files without his permission.
Being called a girl - He is not a girl!
P.E. - Mori isn't all that physically strong...
Personality:
At first glance, Mori might seem to be an air headed, cheery person with no other care other than going out with his friends. This is only half right. In reality, this little brunet is very intelligent with a knack for electronics and is never seen without some kind of technology. He is very curious and will not hesitate to ask strange or awkward questions, pestering you until he gets an answer. If he doesn't receive an answer in the time he expects it, Mori will childishly pout and refuse to speak to you for about... Ten minutes. The Asian boy loves being around people and can be very chatty once you get to know him.
Unbeknownst to most, Mori is actually very proper and can usually be seen sitting up straight in his chair in class and sitting respectfully on his knees when in his dorm. Mori even bows after speaking to someone older than he is. Always speaking in a polite, kind tone, he rarely cusses unless you do something to deserve the cussing out. He's a bit more... Vulgar around people he knows and has known for a while. AKA, almost no one besides his bastard brothers. Ahem. I mean... His wonderful siblings who always treat him with respect and never grope his chest
History:
Having grown up in Beijing, China, Mori often missed his original home in Taiwan where his parents lived. Said parents had sent him off to China to live with his brothers', who were really just cousins, so he could a better education. Mori always resented them to some extent for that. He hated living with his brothers, they were always fighting and yelling and throwing things at each other. It drove Mori crazy and he would often run off and not return for hours on end. Not that his brothers would usually even notice.
When the little brunet got into middle school, the horrible bullying began. Mori would more often than not come home with bruises or a bloody nose with words of "You faggot!" and "You're so gay!" ringing in his ears long after they were said. He hated middle school and it only got worse and worse as he got older. Mori even landed in the hospital once with a concussion. Not his favourite night ever. Relieved beyond reason when he graduated middle school, Mori begged and begged to be home schooled or transfered or something that would get him away from the bullies that he'd lived with for three years.
His desperate pleas to be home schooled denied, Mori endured another four years of bullying and bloody noses and hospital trips later, Mori made it out of high school with his head intact. Through all that, he had actually managed to get a scholarship to a prestigous school in America called Bluterra...
Sample Post:
Bluterra?
What an odd name for a school.
Mori read and re-read the paper in front of him, printed in neat, computer graphic english that he understood quite well. He'd taken English classes since his first year of Junior high. Neatly folding up the paper, he picked up the plane ticket sitting on the other side of him. His flight was next week...
"Aiyah, I'll have to pack, and quit my job, and say goodbye to my friends... I'll have to ship my guitar and amp, take my music with me..." Mori continued to ramble on as he quietly packed everything he listed off and sent his guitar to the residence listed in the letter. So far so good. Grabbing a piece of paper, Mori quickly wrote a letter to his parents saying how he'd gotten into an American college with a free four year scholarship! The small brunet was positive they'd be thrilled. Closing his suit case, the Asian boy plopped on his couch and flipped on the tv.
The week pasted rather uneventfully. He said goodbye to his friends, quit his job, ect. Sitting in his flight terminal, Mori watched the planes take off and land until his own flight pulled in. Quickly boarding, he sat back and dozed off. This was a 25 hour flight, after all.
Stiff and hungry, Mori got off the plane in America and called a cab; fishing out the envelope and rattling off an address to the cabbie in somewhat accented English. The driver stated that Mori wasn't from around here and they quietly made small talk until he pulled up to Bluterra. Paying the driver and getting out, Mori stared in awe of the school. Until he saw something he'd rather not see again.
What kind of school is this!?
