Personality
Happiness
Unlike some Empires that have lost confidence in themselves when they have fallen, Turkey remains in high-spirits for the most part. A big heart that is open to anybody (except Greece) whether they are of a different religion, race, or just have a skin unlike his own. A big grin on his face while more and is added to his assets but that was long ago. His ambitious self had faded into a noble and proud country that had stolen every other culture to make it his own. Sadiq is full of laughter and motivation that would have faded away but didn't-- Not even when the Fall of the Ottoman Empire had happened. He made the best of it and made the Republic of Turkey to continue on his traditions.
Competition against Greece is also among many things he likes. The sweet and delicious taste of victory against the lazy country is something he strives for everyday. Although close, their history goes back a very long way and continue to see each other as Allies-- despite their lack of showing the admiration they have for each other.
Anger
The Ottoman Empire (or the Republic of Turkey) is not a force to be messing with so lightly. With thousands to millions of people under his reign, Sadiq conquered a lot of land that had spread out over three continents. Many battles and many lost lives were sacrificed for the sake of him growing bigger and much more powerful than he had started out. The wrath of the Ottoman Empire is frightening to a certain degree. If there is a chance of survival, then good for you, but if there isn't.. Good luck and God-Speed. Even though there were millions to control, there was only one or two things to do with them: Assemble and Attack. Brute force was usually the only tactic Sadiq had in his thought process but it got him far enough to rule for more than eight hundred years.
For those eight hundred years, Sadiq had been openminded to many religions to a certain extent. Just as long as they served him when he wanted, then they were fine. Jews, Christians, and Catholics were allowed to live among the Muslims but they were not allowed to intermingle with one another. Traditions were not to be tainted and if they were, it was punishable by death and only death. Sadiq had been through many Sultans and all were as ambitious as he was; making it much easier to get along with them and share the same ideas of how to continue the reign. His rules were their rules and nothing was going to break them.
Sadness
Although he may appear to be happy on the outside, Sadiq has seen many horrors in his life. Through battles and deaths, the ambitious country grew into a state of fear and declining motivation. Battle after battle kept leading the nation (or Empire) into failure. States were conquered but they were easily taken away by the cost of dead soldiers. Sadiq carries their sadness in his heart even if he had never met them personally. Occasionally, he is found with a frown on his scruffy face but it would be quickly gone like it had never been there in the first place.
History:
Sadiq wasn't the best student in school and barely passed anything but PE. He was a star athlete and captain of practically every sport he put his mind to. His mentor in high school was his gym teacher and even inspired him to become a man like him. Hardcore and tough to the bone! That's what Sadiq aimed to be and that's what he is now.
He went onto college and got a degree in Physical Education while still being the star athlete. He toned and worked hard to be the perfect build to make the puny kids feel bad for themselves like his old gym teacher had done for him. He was pushed hard but loved every moment of his life.. despite the other teachers in the lounge when they start talking about smart stuff and various formulas that Sadiq seemed to have slept through when he was being taught. Oh well. At least he's doing what he loves and will do it until he was old and crippled.
Sample Post:
Sadiq stared at the group of boys that were in a neat formation that their class president had put them in. They all fidgeted when the older nation stood there with his hands on his hips. Those green eyes looked down at the different heights and colored haired boys without hardly blinking. The man looked tough and much older than the group before him. With a whistle in between his thin lips as he seemed to be thinking of different methods for the boys to bleed.
"Welcome to hell, boys." Sadiq said bluntly as he let his whistle fall onto his jumpsuit covered chest. "This is a very required class where I have the freedom to made you suffer." Uh-oh. "I have been given permission to tone, pull, break, rip, tear, and make sore of those muscles and bones in that skin sack of yours. This isn't an easy A or an easy class at all. No, kiddos. This'll be the toughest physical class you'll ever take in your lifetime. Good for you Freshmen that decided to get it out of the way but you Seniors are quite dumb to wait this long." Sadiq pulled his arms up to cross against his chest. "Oh! Also, if you decide for some stupid reason that it's alright to skip my class.. I'll find you and drag you back there. You'll have to what we did today but times three and a lot more faster than the normal speed you're used to. You get a gift too-- personally from me. It's called 'Nap Time' and trust me, you don't want a 'Nap Time'." Slowly, the older male smiled warmly as if it'll help the boys from passing out from fright.
Sadiq grunted as he looked down at his watch then up at the sky to see the position of the sun. Damn. It was hot and beautiful that day. "Well, since you're all dressed up for the occasion, I'm sure you'll love to do a warm up and then we'll be done for the day. Alright, everyone, file to the starting line on the track." Without much waste, the gym teacher turned and headed to red track to stand on the side. Some of the boys got the message that it was an immediate order but the others got the most deadliest look that had them scrambling to the start line without any more stalling.
"Alright, alright. So, your warm up is to RUN. And you want to know how long you have to run?" his eyes scanned the group's before he smirked, "Twenty-five laps. You can walk it but if you do, there'll be something special for you all that do." Pause. "GO." The kids just stared at him and the suddenly realization came to them. They better run.. There really was no need for anything special from Mister Adnan.
