Eliah has chin-length messy reddish-brown hair. He doesn't bother to brush it, as it will only look messier that way. He has a round, sweet-looking face and hazel eyes that often look green. He has a light, olive complexion and is only 5'4".

Personality:
Eliah has a very quick temper; teasing him even a little bit will likely result in his throwing a temper tantrum. He will probably respond by cursing at whoever insulted him, but there may also be arm-flailing, foot-stomping, and puffy cheeks as well. Eliah is very childish, and not only in this aspect of his life; while he is easy to anger, he is also very easily pacified.
Naive almost to the point of constant gullibility, Eliah greatly prefers the happier things in life. He is a hopeless optimist and practically doesn't understand the concept of depression or a situation that can't be turned into something good. He's also quite shy around people, especially anyone he finds to be cute, often stuttering and blushing when around such people.
Although he's young, Eliah is very philosophical; he was raised in a church and, although he has a strong faith, he is also very interested in the beliefs of other people. He's spent a long time researching other religions and spiritual beliefs, and from that he has learned to be incredibly accepting of other people.
As easy as it is to make him upset, it is also incredibly easy to amuse him or make him happy. He doesn't hold grudges and is very quick to forgive and forget-- most of the time. Eliah forgives people easily if they've done something to upset him, but when it is the people he loves who have been hurt, he can become protective and that is when he will hold a grudge.
Another part of his childishness is that, if he does not like a person, he will not hide his feelings. He will outright insult or avoid someone he doesn't like altogether. However, if the person he likes happens to be a friend of a friend of his, he will hold his tongue out of respect for his friends. He looks up to and respects those close to him almost implicitly and will do whatever he can to make them happy.
History:
Born in a monastery, Eliah was orphaned soon after his birth and raised by the kind nuns who had taken him in. He was never exposed to the "bad things" in life, as the nuns were incredibly protective of him, lending to his naivete and gullibility, as well as to his endless optimism. He learned to be grateful for what he had and to be generous to help others get the same.
When he was 14, Eliah went with several missionaries on a mission to Africa and this was where his curiosity concerning other beliefs really blossomed; he had done research for awhile before this trip, but the trip was inspiring and eye-opening to the young boy. He became more sympathetic to those who are not as lucky as him and began volunteering whenever he could.
Though he never had to struggle for things, when it came time to go to college, Eliah knew he would have to pay for it with little help from the monastery. Thus, he applied for several scholarships and managed to get enough to cover tuition and room and board, while the nuns agreed to help him pay for books and supplies.
Arriving at Bluterra would be Eliah's first experience outside of San Marino and away from the influence of the people who raised him.
Sample Post:
Arriving at Bluterra was both exciting and terrifying. Eliah was used to being surrounded by people he knew, people he was already friends with. He knew, or at least hoped, it wouldn't be impossible for him to make friends, but it was a huge change to go from a place where he knew everyone to a place where he literally knew no one.
Even though he liked people, Eliah was usually shy. He wouldn't start a conversation, but he had no problems talking to people as long as they approached him first. He arrived in his dorm early, before his roommate it seemed, and carefully unpacked his things. It was pleasantly quiet in the room and he hoped to get some reading done, but his adviser had reminded him to check in once he arrived to discuss orientation and what ever else he had to do. He honestly didn't know what to expect, having never lived outside the monastery.
Picking up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder, he double checked the room to make sure he had everything (as he could be quite absent-minded) before nodding to himself and going to meet with his adviser, nervously fidgeting as he walked across campus to the administrative buildings. He was nearly walked into several times by the bigger, taller students and by the time he pulled the doors of the building his adviser was in open, he was pouting and annoyed; honestly, he wasn't that short!
