Here at Bluterra Academy, there're a few things students need to keep in mind. The below is subject to change at any time.
The following is a small list of general rules Bluterra would like its Blues to comply with:

• To start off, you're allowed two characters; canon or OC. We'd like to observe your activity and allow you a third after 15 IC-RP posts per character. PM a mod when you're ready and we'll do a quick evaluation to give you the okay.
  
• 10 sentences min. for IC posts. That's about 100 words.
  
• Human names are to be used as a familiar casuality, or a way for teachers to address students. For characters that don't know eachother so personally, country titles (England, Japan, etc.) will be used.
  
• We're humans that represent the nations; through some power we still embody the characteristics of our populations and physically express/feel the actions toward our respective countries. But, we are human.
  
• About ages. Freshmen are typically 17-20, Sophomores 20-23, Juniors 22-25 and Seniors are 24-26. I realize that there are plenty of oddities and exceptions, but this is just a general guideline to how old a character should be compared to their year of College. For staff, the minimum age is 24 unless approval is given otherwise. When choosing staff age, take how many years they have been teaching into consideration.
  
• No fighting/arguing OOC amongst. If you're unhappy about something or have a specific problem, take it to a staff member and we'll try to correct it. And no one likes to have their posts eaten, OOC chat or RP.
  
• #12. You may chat/RP in our cboxes only as characters that have been approved on Bluterra. This includes both IC and OOC. Before you are accepted, though, using an account for the country you're applying for is fine.
  
• Before RPing in the cbox, please scroll down and refer to the later "Formatting" post for proper posting/logging etiquette. Also, please put "Pasta and Wurst <3" after the Timezone field in your application to show you've read the rules.
  
• For RPs that contain material higher than PG-13, please mark the thread's title [M] Thread Title to rate it "Mature." This concerns mature behaviour/action rather than language; one should understand that people swear, so offensive/obscene lingo doesn't warrant the [M] rating.

Using the CBox to RP
Ja, we do allow it! *waits for cheering to calm down*
But there is a set of rules and formatting templates to be followed, or this option will become unavailable for everyone. None of us want that; cbox RP is so much easier, we'd like to provide you active bunnies with that.

• First, how to reply.
  Open a blank Notepad document (*.txt) and type your post like you would in a board reply.
  If you intend something italicized, then include the [tag] so that when you post the log in the forum, it will format accordingly.
  Cut+paste your post from Notepad into the msg field of the cbox and send it.
  It should send with the necessary line-breaks so that it's in paragraph format.
  
• Second, how to log.
  You'll probably notice the cbox doesn't allow you to drag-select multiple posts. It's a stupid script, it sucks.
  So, you'll need to click within the desired post and hit CTRL+A. This way, you select the txt of the entire post.
  Then you can copy+pasta it into Notepad (recommended)
  An example of this log format can be found at the end of this post.
  
• Third, how to post
  You're done! Now to post it in the appropriate area of the forum.
  Whoever was logging will be the one to post it; they went through the copypasta work, they deserve the post-count, ja?
  One, use Notepad to go Edit > Replace.
  Two, Type your cbox user-name into the Find what: field
  Three, type your COUNTRY's name into the Replace with: field with [ b ] [ /b ] tags around it.
  Click Replace All.
  Do the same with your partner's user-name, replacing it with their country name in

[/b] tags.
Make sure it looks like the sample below, and post!
[/li][li] We understand that cbox RPers will have a MUCH lower post count than those who RP in the boards. We recommend that you exercise both options, if you're looking to raise your post count for another role or some other reason.
[/li][li] The use of instant chat for RP raises the option to use MSN for RP. Do so if you're not comfortable carrying out your scene in the public of the cbox, and you still want to go instant. It's not encouraged, but is allowed. Just follow the formatting rules, please.
[/li][li] Fourth, in board IC,
There will be NO script RP, (example: -action- *action* ) and NO emoticons (example: ;; =A= BI ) inside an RP post.
Of course it's alright in OOC, I just don't want to see it in your log.
Also, only Italic coded text in IC (for inflection, titles, names, etc.)[/li][/ul]

Germany:
This is the first post. Look at Germany, he's role-playing. Isn't it grand?

"Dialog, it's a beautiful thing," Germany sighed contentedly, admiring his work on the cbox rules post and turned to North Italy, "Feliciano, will you help me write this sample RP?"

Of course, it'll need to be a lot longer than this. Germany is just trying to show you how we do.

North Italy:
North Italy appeared in the scene suddenly, chuckling at Germany's attempt to write a sample scene.

"You're weird, Ludwig!" he laughed, "No one's going to pay attention to something like this, you're worrying too much~!"

To North Italy this was another one of Germany's extreme attempts at keeping order and organization, and it was amusing to no end; watching Germany fuss over keeping things tidy was good fun enough.

Germany:
An unimpressed frown took Germany's expression and he folded his arms across his chest.

"You're mocking me, Feliciano," he muttered, raising an eyebrow, "See how funny it is when you've got users PMing you asking questions I've attempted to answer here in th -- "

His voice halted and he stopped short, blinking incredulously. Only suddenly realizing it, Germany saw for a moment the near obsessive cleanliness he was forcing on the board.

North Italy:
Germany's expression earned another laugh from North Italy. The way he was fussing over fussing was simply too cute.

"Buono, Ludwig. I'm sure it will work out fine," he reached out to pat Germany's shoulder lightly, "Look! We've got enough replies now, let's end the sample scene here, si~?"

Germany:
He sighed deeply, his shoulders sagging a degree.

"Ja. I suppose this is good enough."

Though still a tad discontent, Germany nodded once, running a hundredth spell-check once North Italy had skipped away.

Q: Are the beds bunk-beds or side-by-side?
A: They're adults, and I'd imagine bunk-beds to be indignant.
